The elected head of a Gram Panchayat is commonly referred to in English as its President, although terminology differs among states: titles such as Sarpanch, Pradhan and Adhyaksha are also used. In Karnataka, the statutory term is Adhyaksha, who is designated as the executive head of the Grama Panchayat. “President” is therefore the corresponding option here.
